Dr. Xiong earned her Ph.D. in Chemical Biology from Fudan University from September 2017 to June 2022. Since July 2022, she has been the Head of the Mass Spectrometry Platform at the Bioanalytical Testing Center of Xiang’an Innovation Laboratory (affiliated with the research group of Academician Ningshao Xia). Dr. Xiong independently established the mass spectrometry platform from the ground up and has long been engaged in research on biological mass spectrometry-based proteomics and de novo antibody sequencing. Focusing on the precise characterization of CDRs in the heavy and light chains of monoclonal antibodies, she innovatively constructed a closed-loop system integrating “multi-enzyme sequential digestion – sequence assembly – functional validation” and developed the open-source software XA-Novo, which significantly improves the accuracy and engineering applicability of protein sequence analysis in complex samples. Concurrently, addressing the needs of clinical translation, she has built an analytical framework integrating ultra-high-resolution mass spectrometry, multi-omics integration, and machine learning to enable molecular characterization and high-precision biomarker screening for complex diseases including HBV-related liver diseases and atherosclerotic stroke. Over the past five years, she has published 9 SCI papers, been granted 3 invention patents, led multiple national and provincial research projects, and been selected as a high-level Category C talent of Fujian Province and Xiamen City.
