Dr. Wang earned her Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Fudan University from September 2013 to June 2018. She conducted postdoctoral research at Fudan University from July 2018 to November 2020, and has been an Associate Research Fellow at Fudan University since December 2020. Dr. Wang has been serving as a Youth Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Analysis and Testing since 2025. Dr. Wang focuses on the application of multidimensional chromatographic separation in glycoproteomics, with an emphasis on the efficient enrichment of glycoproteins/glycopeptides using functionalized materials, coupled with in-depth separation via multidimensional chromatography systems to substantially reduce sample complexity and effectively address the bottlenecks of low glycopeptide abundance and difficult identification. The distinctive feature of her work lies in the deep integration of material enrichment, high-efficiency chromatographic separation, and mass spectrometric identification, establishing an integrated analytical workflow of “material enrichment – multidimensional separation – mass spectrometry acquisition – bioinformatics interpretation”, which significantly enhances the throughput and analytical capacity of glycosylation site identification. The significance of this work is that glycosylation, as a key post-translational modification, is widely involved in cell recognition, immune responses, and tumorigenesis. The synergistic integration of material enrichment and multidimensional chromatography has broken through the technical bottlenecks of deep coverage in glycoproteomics, providing critical methodological support for the systematic analysis of glycosylation heterogeneity in disease states, screening of novel biomarkers, and elucidation of related regulatory mechanisms, thereby promoting the translational application of precision modificomics toward clinical practice.
