Dr.Bai pursued doctoral studies in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Fudan University from September 2018 to June 2024, earning a Ph.D. degree. Since December 2024, she has been serving as a Young Principal Investigator (Young PI) at Shanghai General Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. Dr. Bai is currently an independent Young PI. She has long been engaged in proteomics and proteogenomics research, with a primary focus on plasma proteomic biomarker discovery, tumor molecular subtyping and treatment response prediction, systematic identification of DNA modification reader proteins, and mechanisms underlying tumor immune regulation. Her work is dedicated to advancing the translational application of proteomics in precision cancer diagnosis and therapy. In recent years, as first or co-first author, she has published multiple papers in journals including Nature Biomedical Engineering, Advanced Science, Nature Immunology, and Nature Communications. She has established a pan-cancer plasma proteomic profiling strategy, characterized the proteogenomic features of clear cell renal cell carcinoma in response to tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) therapy, systematically charted the landscape of DNA modification readers, and uncovered novel mechanisms such as the regulation of natural killer (NK) cell function through lactylation. These findings demonstrate both mechanistic depth and translational potential.
