Dr. Liu pursued her doctoral studies in Analytical Chemistry at the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics (DICP), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), from September 2012 to June 2019, earning a Ph.D. degree. She conducted postdoctoral research at DICP, CAS from August 2019 to December 2022, served as an Assistant Research Fellow from January 2023 to July 2023, and has been an Associate Research Fellow since August 2023. Dr. Liu currently serves as a member of the Chromatography Specialty Committee of the China Association for Instrumental Analysis (CAIA), a Youth Editorial Board Member of Journal of Analysis and Testing, and a Youth Editorial Board Member of iMeta. Dr. Liu was trained under Academician Yukui Zhang and Professor Lihua Zhang. She has long been dedicated to the development of novel methods for quantitative proteomics and metaproteomics, with applications addressing practical challenges in life sciences, synthetic biology, and marine science. She developed a series of highly accurate quantification methods based on quasi-isobaric a1 ions, reducing the relative error from 72% to 8% in complex systems, and developed two high-throughput proteome quantification kits with independent intellectual property rights, breaking the foreign monopoly. She established the Sensitive Marine Metaproteomics (SMMP) method, which reduced the required deep-sea seawater sample volume from >100 L to 1 L and increased the number of quantified proteins by >80% (8,640 vs. <4,667), providing critical technical support for trace metaproteomics research. She has published 37 academic papers, filed 20 invention patent applications, and been granted 1 U.S. patent and 6 Chinese patents. She has led 6 research projects including the Young Scientists Fund of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and participated in 10 projects including the National Key Research and Development Program of China.
