Dr. Lou earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics from Peking Union Medical College from September 2019 to June 2024. Since August 2024, she has been serving as a Technologist at Peking Union Medical College Hospital.
Dr. Lou’s main research directions include:
(1) Establishing proteomics-driven novel diagnostic and therapeutic models for cancer—employing DIA-MS, HuProt™, and antibody microarray technologies, she pioneered the plasma proteomic landscape of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) and proposed four molecular subtypes (PS-I-IV). She identified TIMP-1 as a key protein, which improved the recurrence risk prediction rate by 20%–40% compared with traditional biomarkers (Molecular & Cellular Proteomics, 2023). Additionally, she identified four serum autoantibody biomarkers, including anti-IFIT5 and anti-PAH, which significantly enhanced the early diagnostic efficacy for prostate cancer, particularly in patients within the “PSA gray zone” (CIL, 2023);
(2) Identifying prognostic biomarkers through multi-omics, elucidating drug resistance mechanisms, and proposing novel therapeutic strategies—integrating spatial omics and proteomic validation, she revealed the prognostic value of FAS, LYZ, and LILRB4 in the lymphoma immune microenvironment (Sci China Life Sci, 2025; CIL, 2025). Addressing the challenge of third-generation EGFR-TKI resistance in lung cancer, she discovered that lysophospholipid metabolic reprogramming can mediate resistance, and lysophospholipid metabolic enzymes may serve as prognostic predictive biomarkers (Clin Cancer Res, 2025);
(3) Algorithm-empowered clinical decision support—she proposed the CoxMoE deep learning algorithm that integrates multidimensional data including plasma protein levels, clinical records, and pharmacokinetics, enabling precise prediction of targeted therapy response and progression-free survival in lung cancer (TLCR, 2024; Comm Med, under review).
