从事蛋白质翻译后修饰、高覆盖精准定量蛋白质组学、基于蛋白质组学的精准医学研究。领衔并完成”973″项目”肝病发生发展中蛋白质翻译后修饰的定量蛋白质组学研究”、国家精准医学重大专项”精准特异灵敏实用临床定量蛋白质组支撑技术研究”等一系列重大项目。在国际上建立首个基于蛋白质从头测序、泛素链绝对定量和泛素化蛋白质假阳性排除技术的蛋白质泛素化宏观和微观不均一性分析技术体系;率先定量细胞泛素链组成,将7种泛素链分为主导蛋白质降解的非K63泛素链和非蛋白质降解的K63泛素链两个类群,被国际称为”Chain gang”(链帮);发现K11泛素链引导蛋白质降解、调节转录因子开关蛋氨酸合成2条新信号通路。已在 Cell、 Gastroenterology、Mol Cell、Nat Communication 等发表研究论文160余篇;授权发明专利55项,产品化成果6项,上市基因工程国家新药1个。先后荣获石家庄市科技进步一等奖、国家经贸委优秀技术创新项目奖、云南省自然科学一等奖、国家蛋白质组学创新团队、中国发明协会发明创新奖创业奖二等奖等多项科研奖励。
Professor Xu Ping focuses on post-translational modifications of proteins, high-coverage precision quantitative proteomics, and precision medicine research based on proteomics. He has led and completed major projects including the “973” project “Quantitative Proteomics Study of Protein Post-translational Modifications in Liver Disease Development” and the National Precision Medicine Major Project “Research on Precise, Specific, Sensitive and Practical Clinical Quantitative Proteomics Support Technology.” Internationally, he established the first protein ubiquitination macro and micro heterogeneity analysis technology system based on de novo protein sequencing, absolute quantification of ubiquitin chains, and false positive exclusion technology for ubiquitinated proteins. He pioneered the quantification of cellular ubiquitin chain composition, dividing seven types of ubiquitin chains into two groups: non-K63 ubiquitin chains that dominate protein degradation and K63 ubiquitin chains for non-protein degradation, internationally referred to as “Chain gang.” He discovered two new signaling pathways: K11 ubiquitin chain-guided protein degradation and regulation of transcription factor switch methionine synthesis. He has published over 160 research papers in Cell, Gastroenterology, Molecular Cell, Nature Communications, etc.; holds 55 authorized invention patents, 6 commercialized products, and one marketed national new drug from genetic engineering. He has received multiple research awards including Shijiazhuang Science and Technology Progress First Prize, National Economic and Trade Commission Outstanding Technological Innovation Project Award, Yunnan Province Natural Science First Prize, National Proteomics Innovation Team, and China Invention Association Invention and Innovation Award Second Prize.
