Guohua Wang
Guohua Wang is Dean and Professor of the School of Information and Computer Engineering at Northeast Forestry University, and doctoral supervisor. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Application Technology from Harbin Institute of Technology in 2009. From 2009, he served as Associate Professor, Professor, and doctoral supervisor at the School of Computer Science and Technology, Harbin Institute of Technology. In 2019, he joined Northeast Forestry University as Dean of the School of Information and Computer Engineering and PI at the State Key Laboratory of Tree Genetics and Breeding. In 2013, he was selected for the Ministry of Education’s “New Century Excellent Talents Support Program” and completed postdoctoral research at Johns Hopkins University. He serves as Standing Committee Member of the Bioinformatics Committee of the China Computer Federation and Committee Member of the Bioinformatics and Artificial Life Committee of the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence. His main research areas are bioinformatics and artificial intelligence. He serves as editorial board member of BMC Genomics and has published over 50 SCI-indexed international journal papers in journals such as Nature Protocols, Nature Reviews Genetics, Nucleic Acids Research, and Bioinformatics. As principal investigator, he has led 2 National 863 projects and 4 National Natural Science Foundation projects. In 2018 and 2019, he served as expert reviewer for the “Digital Diagnosis and Treatment Equipment R&D” key special project of the 13th Five-Year National Key R&D Program.
