Dr. Huilin Li, Professor and doctoral supervisor at Sun Yat-sen University. Joined the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Sun Yat-sen University in December 2017 through the “Sun Yat-sen University Hundred Talents Program”. Has long been engaged in biological mass spectrometry research, developing new mass spectrometry methods around scientific challenges such as direct sequencing of intact proteins and modification site localization, protein-drug interaction mechanisms, and structural analysis of protein non-covalent complexes, to achieve in-depth exploration of protein complex structures and drug action mechanisms. Research results have been published in international mainstream chemistry, analytical and mass spectrometry journals such as Nature Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, and J. Am. Soc. Mass Spectrom.

Research Directions:
1. Develop and utilize integrated structural mass spectrometry technologies (including native top-down MS, HDX-MS, cross-linking MS, etc.) to study the structure and function of protein machinery (protein-drug, protein-protein, protein-DNA, etc.);
2. Develop middle-down/top-down proteomics technologies to explore the regulatory mechanisms of protein post-translational modifications (PTMs) in life processes.
