Dr. Zhang earned his Ph.D. in Medical Proteomics from the Academy of Military Sciences, PLA, from 2015 to 2018. He conducted postdoctoral research at West China Hospital of Sichuan University from 2018 to 2021, served as an Assistant Research Fellow at the same institution from 2021 to 2023, and has been an Associate Research Fellow there since 2023. Dr. Zhang currently serves as a Council Member of the Bioinformatics Society of Sichuan Province (BISSC) and Secretary-General of the Youth Committee of the Sichuan Association for the Promotion of Anti-Aging Scientific Research. Dr. Zhang’s primary research focus is clinical translational glycoproteomics, dedicated to the development of clinical glycoproteomic technologies and their translational applications. His work centers on establishing novel materials, technologies, methods, and algorithms for proteomics and post-translational modifications, conducting basic and applied research in major diseases to elucidate the molecular mechanisms of disease pathogenesis, identifying biomarkers or therapeutic targets with diagnostic, therapeutic, or prognostic value in clinical samples, and developing therapeutic agents or strategies for clinical translation. He has led or participated in more than 10 research projects, including the National Key Research and Development Program of China, the Major Research Plan of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), General Programs, Young Scientists Fund, the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, and projects funded by the Department of Science and Technology of Sichuan Province and the Health Commission of Sichuan Province. As first or corresponding author, he has published over 100 high-impact papers in journals including ACS Nano、Biomarker Research、MedComm、eLife、Aging & Disease、Molecular & Cellular Proteomics、Journal of Proteome Research. As first or major inventor, he has filed or been granted more than 10 Chinese invention patents. He has contributed as a co-author to the monograph Proteome Informatics and received one First-Class Provincial/Ministerial Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress.
