Dr. Lin earned her Ph.D. in Basic Medical Sciences from Fudan University from September 2013 to June 2016. She conducted postdoctoral research at the Chemistry Postdoctoral Research Station of Fudan University from May 2017 to December 2020, and served as a Visiting Scholar at King’s College London from November 2019 to March 2020. She was an Associate Research Fellow at Xiamen Cardiovascular Hospital of Xiamen University from January 2021 to September 2022, and has been an Associate Research Fellow at Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University since December 2022. Dr. Lin currently serves as Associate Editor of Applied Biochemistry and Biotechnology and Youth Editorial Board Member of Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica, and has previously served as Youth Editorial Board Member of The Journal of Cardiovascular Aging and Interdisciplinary Medicine. Dr. Lin focuses on bio-mass spectrometry technologies and has established a research framework of “model innovation—method development—mechanism elucidation” over the past five years: (1) In model innovation, she developed a biomimetic microfluidic vascular chip that precisely simulates the extracellular matrix microenvironment and cyclic mechanical stretch of smooth muscle cells, and integrated proteomics to decode the key molecular features of pressure overload-driven vascular pathological remodeling; (2) In method development, she established a single-cell multi-omics temporal analysis platform combining four-dimensional micromanipulation with mass spectrometry to trace dynamic metabolic and lipid remodeling landscapes during macrophage foam cell formation, revealing a dual-lineage fate divergence toward apoptosis and ferroptosis in late-stage foam cells; (3) In mechanism elucidation, she mapped the region-specific transcriptomic and proteomic landscapes of the adult human heart, elucidating chamber-specific expression dysregulation patterns in dilated cardiomyopathy, and introduced “anomaly detection” algorithms into clinical cohort omics data analysis to overcome the empirical threshold dependence of small-sample and non-normally distributed data for mining latent biological insights. Her findings have been published in journals including Advanced Science, VIEW, Analytical Chemistry, and Molecular Therapy.
