CNHUPO Youth Committee | Now Recruiting Members: Join Us in Building a Platform for Youth Development in Proteomics

The preparatory work for establishing the Youth Committee of CNHUPO has officially begun. We are now openly recruiting and accepting recommendations for outstanding young scientists and researchers nationwide, aiming to unite the younger generation in the field and jointly promote innovation and development in China’s proteomics sector.

To establish a high-level platform for academic exchange and talent development in proteomics, and to identify and cultivate future leaders in the field, CNHUPO has decided to form a Youth Committee. This initiative will bring new vitality to CNHUPO, support the rapid growth and collaboration of young scientists, and advance scientific innovation and industrial translation in proteomics and related fields.

We cordially invite eligible young colleagues to apply, and welcome Branch committee members and industry peers to actively recommend outstanding candidates to join us in this academic endeavor for the next generation.

– Demonstrate unwavering political commitment, adhere to high standards of scientific integrity, and maintain a rigorous academic ethos;
– Engage in scientific research, teaching, or technological development in proteomics or related fields (including bioinformatics, analytical chemistry, cell biology, etc., with a focus on proteomics technologies);
– Be under the age of 40 (born after January 1, 1986);
– Hold a doctoral degree or a senior professional title (associate professor or equivalent);
– Have an outstanding academic record, satisfying at least one of the following criteria:
1. Have published at least three papers as first author or corresponding author in internationally recognized journals in proteomics or related fields within the past five years;
2. Have served as principal investigator of a national-level research project (e.g., National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth or General Program, sub-project of the National Key Research and Development Program of China);
3. Have made significant contributions to the development of proteomics technologies, clinical translation and application, or industrial commercialization.

– Nomination by Committee Members
Candidates may be nominated by current members of the CNHUPO Branch Committee. Each nominator may recommend up to two candidates and shall submit the nomination materials as required.
– Self-Nomination
Self-nominations are open to researchers from national research institutes, universities, hospitals, enterprises, as well as overseas Chinese scholars. Eligible individuals may apply directly.

As a member of the CNHUPO Youth Committee, you will have the opportunity to:

– Join the national network of leading young professionals in proteomics, engaging in in-depth exchanges and collaboration with top experts and outstanding peers in the field;
– Participate in exclusive activities such as high-level academic salons, youth forums, and cutting-edge thematic workshops, thereby broadening your academic perspective;
– Access resources for career development planning, training, and connections to research funding opportunities, supporting your professional growth;
– Contribute to the organization and planning of academic activities within the Branch, offering insights and recommendations for the advancement of the field while building your influence in the community;
– Serve a term of 4 years (aligned with CNHUPO Committee term), with access to the academic and career development resources exclusive to the Youth Committee.
